My group for out first news story was myself, Cece, Sarah, and Mary. Our news story was about all the new faculty this year. My job was usually setting up the light for each person and sometimes helping set up the shot. It was interesting to try to adjust light levels and coloration to get the perfect shot. The biggest problem we encountered was trying to track down different teachers and staff since some didn't email us back. It was also often awkward for the teachers since they had never experienced the cinematography class before. They had never be interviewed for something like this before. We tried to be as supportive and helpful as possible. Overall, we were pretty successful in this project and I think I helped with the project to the best of my ability. Now that we're done, I think I've learned a lot about focusing with the camera and setting up light color, brightness, and angle.
